I am within the fourth chapter of this book and after reading some very negative reviews about David Goggins being a mysogynist, I think I have read far enough to speak on the surface readers of this story.

I have read this story basically entranced the whole time, this is a life that no one would wish for any person. Even if you are not reading this to one day reach a higher purpose…

I have seen many reviews saying this book changes half way through and becomes an entirely different book.

However, after making it to the second half… it is still the same crime drama that is started as… it simply became KING in the second half.

This may as well have been considered the final addition of the Mr. Mercedes trilogy, since it is basically the same as the rest of the Bill Hodges books.
