This book is so weird. But why am I still reading?

Ok, this started soo dark and depressing. Now it’s morphing into a love story. So far a rando guy is resurrecting the love inside this eldest daughter- in an immigrant family- with no boundaries due to cultural circumstances and norms-brown skinned/in a colorism thoughts family- alphabet mafia- depressed and stoic- woman. I’m not sure about this yet.

It must be so cold. Young minds are so lovely, especially when they only have seen a bit of this awful world.

This isn’t dull. The anticipation at some parts! I want to know what will happen! It’s a bit slow, but I like the way the story is going so far.

So far, men are awful beings. Women holding women safe places are important, so important they keep it a secret.

Finally! I like when imaginary threats are made to those imaginary people who deserve it. I almost gave up on the story, and it just got good.

I am enjoying this book. But I have the opinion that their agreement is going on too long. Also, their feelings of denial are starting to annoy me 😅

Ok so far good info. I think of this as a dense piece of bread. It’s like bread, and it’s yummy, but you need to chew a bit longer, or take smaller bites.
