I am listening to this on audio book because the internet raved about such; however I am struggling and in order to enjoy the full scope of what this novel offers, I might have to pause and pick up the hard copy! If you've read vs audiobook plz let me know your thoughts! :)

What a refreshing take on understanding children simply as they are: human. We are so quick to rush kids and expect things that are outside of their age -- Kohn helps paint a picture that doesn't cater to this "gentle parenting" rage, but rather offers you suggestions on YOURSELF and identifying your needs second. It doesn't mean raising bratty kids, it means communication and unconditional love can teach more.

In true TJR fashion, has me hooked. I love the interview style, the anticipation of what the climax will be!

I'm very intrigued! I've yet to read this form of "magic" books - usually I'm with the Fae or the mystical. Black cats, candles, and salt lines are new for me and it's been an interesting read so far!

At first I was very confused - now I’m intrigued and must know who did it. Not as quick of a page turner as I was yearning for!

I am mad - I was expecting this book to an easy quick read. I had high hopes at the accolades it has been given on booktok and everyone talking about it. Personally, I don't like the main character and it has been so hard for me to get into it. It is due at the library and I'm struggling to decide if I'm a quitter or if I need to renew it.

I’m immediately HOOKED. And trying to power read because I can’t get enough of the story.

I was super bummed when I finished empire of storms and went immediately to the bookshelf to pick this up, excited to continue the story. But to my surprise, blew don’t pick up in the marshes, we pick up in another character pov on the other side of the cont. so far I am enjoying this book and liking the sorry development, but missing out on my queen & her drama.

Let me tell youuuu! When I reached the further part of 2/3 way through, the rollercoaster began. If you have read this book, please shoot me text as I am reeling in the need to word vomit all over anyone who will listen to me chat about THIS BOOK. SJM's world bailing is beautiful entangled and continues to surprise me.

Slowwwww start. But chapter 31 was where I finally started turning pages quicker. I will say, I have a very fond appreciation for this author. The webs and character tracking he had to have kept track of is incredibly impressive. A master tactician; very fun. Can't wait for the ending.

This is slow going. I'm trudging along, everyone tells me to power through and it gets better soon *sweat emoji*.

lovvvvvving this book. A girl at the pool yesterday went out of her way to hype it up and as I was leaving I asked her if I'm going to cry and with the most exaggerated, emotional response she said, "yes."
