Really good. Following a teen in a post apocalyptic land that's had to grow up quickly to survive, cheering on a sentient but caring scarecrow, meeting new characters, plot twists, grief, sadness, war, everything wrapped in a watery bundle of hope. What more could you want!

An easy read for most ages, detailed in the right places, I could not put it down!

A story within a story...and a dark twist at the end!

This book stood out in the library for me, the desire to learn more about nature's folklore in different countries was strong, and this take was beautiful, romantic and sad all in one.

This was also the first book I read after I struggled with long COVID. The layout and wording simple and easy to follow. A beautiful read
