Mariah Collar > Recent Status Updates

Not bad so far, it’s too early to give any opinion I think. I didn’t get as far as I wanted because it got too late but i’m hoping to get a good amount done tomorrow.

It’s been a min but i’m happy to be back reading. Ngl I wish it was a better book lol, this one is a little interesting in a weird way. There are multiple murderers and it just makes it bleh in my brain especially since i’ve split it the way i did lol

read this a few days ago and forgot to update! it’s meh, pretty different than the last one, it’s a little harder to follow. he says in the introduction that he tried something new and it didn’t turn out exactly how he wanted and i can see what he’s going for i guess. i like it more than the first one but the style is just much different

Much different starting vibe than the first book of the series, i’m excited to see how it goes

mehhhhh i’m v underwhelmed, i assume one of 2 endings at the moment, it seems INCREDIBLY predictable, but we’ll see

It’s okay, the chapters are INCREDIBLY short, like less than 10 pages each, it makes the story line feel choppy almost. The plot is very slow to build and I’m not the biggest fan so far, it’s a pretty short book tho

It’s growing on my more and more, still think it’ll get better as I get further in the series!

I need to keep reminding myself that this book was written in 1989 so the dynamic is going to be WILDLY different than what i am used to, the detectives behavior is just (hopefully) not something that would be written in the more recent books in the series, but I have a long way to go to find out, and I’m hopeful to read the authors writing style change as the years go on :)

So far it’s okay, slightly weird dynamic between the defective and some of the women in the story but i still have a little under 400 pages to go, so I’m hoping to see some character development.
