book 1- really enjoyed how this is written. saw a lot of myself and people around me in the characters written, making it interesting when dissecting and understanding each character. at the end of book 1, i just wanted to slap douglas in the face and just say “if you keep expectations low, you wont be as disappointed.” (kind of sad but unfortunately true!

feeling harder to get through, break up with him already! and thank you madeline for giving the slap on the face she needs. giving very much carrie and big energy too.

had a fat break reading this book, but picking it up has immensely frustrated me. this girl is settling for less than the bare minimum and is thinking she has the world. let’s stop with this desperate narrative! leave his asssssssss!!!!

the story is okay so far, but the way it’s written makes it easy to ready (kinda like you’re reading a diary, but it’s written in third person).

also think that the way that the timeline is set up makes it really difficult to like rory and the relationship.

adelaide’s thinking and what’s going on so far is a classic story of overthinking. but i like how her friends keep her grounded and their advice.

i really like how full circle this book is. made me sweat, my heart beat, feel broken and then full again.

and i really enjoyed how it wasn’t all about the love and romance, but also the aunt, parents, and friends.
