Getting there!! 😳

A very well-narrated audiobook - prepare to dispel reality and get into the groove with the short and snappy cliff-hanger chapters. Hard to see where it would end up and there was a surprise or two in store. Another audiobook where I was so into it I had to keep listening while walking/driving/eating to hear what would happen.

Read this a second time to be reminded of the plot - after I recently read #3 in the series. As good as ever.

Who cares that this is probably a Young Adult category book - 256 pages of brilliance - very engaging. The author easily sees into the hearts and minds of Sam and Jason and their “greasy-pole climbing (politics) parents. The last chapter was wonderful as was John Boyne’s afterword - summing up a quick and heartfelt read. I might’ve choked up a little in the final paragraph!

A terrific audio book with three narrators (well known English actors) - intrigue and mystery up to the end. An exploration of the three main characters - the family of the title. Highly recommend in audiobook format.

Listened to this audio book - terrific narrator and good plot - a fairly typical detective/crime story with thugs and ugly characters thrown in for good measure but very enjoyable. And for a change the detective wasn't a hard-drinking complex character! :-)

An excellent telling of the rescue of “the Thai boys” by Australian journo Liam Cochrane. It describes just how many people were involved and what their roles were. An interesting read - quite emotional at times - recommended if you’d like to hear more about the cave rescue.

Enjoyed the audio version of this gripping mystery set in a hospital. Good plot and characters

Excellent audio version however the plot line left me with more questions than answers - maybe that was the author’s intention? I didn’t find resolution of the storyline although the “device” of gradually going back in time was very creative.

Heard a snatched conversation between the author and an ABC radio host awhile ago and the theme intrigued me enough to find out the name of the book... so here I am...

Terrific audio version perfect for a long holiday drive with my partner.

Loving this book - grumpy old man on a personal 'journey' - I think I remember others from my book club reading this? Swedish author translated perfectly into English with humour and pathos.

Seeing what the fuss is all about in terms of plot plus book-to-movie

About 30 pages in and already I can tell this is going to be a great read... Right up my alley...

A classic read and exploration of the very sad "sweet sickness" of delusional psychosis - sounds a weird reason to read such a book but writing is very descriptive and captures it perfectly

Saw this one reviewed as a Classic on ABC TV Book Show - author effectively gets in the mind of a pathologically unstable character - ploughing my way through with great interest
