Just a few minutes in and I’m already feeling called out.

Allowed my brain to rot with tv this past month and forgot how to read. Attempting to pick back up with our usual literary programming pace starting today.

Actually found myself enjoying this one more than the first book so far, then realized it’s because the author has wasted significantly fewer pages droning on about how hot the male characters are and instead spent more time making the MC grapple with real world issues.

Violet continues to be a complete “Mary Sue.” Dragons are still 10/10.

Here we go again…

Regretting that I chose to read this via audiobook.

+1 for the dragons and their fun lore.
-20 for the constant objectification of the male characters.

I feel like I’m reading the POV of a woman who was written by a man.

Reading this so I can participate in convos with friends.

I’m honestly just here for the dragons.

Almost halfway through this reread and I genuinely forgot how much Vis loves lying.

Truly the epitome of “Gatekeep. Gaslight. Girlboss”

Back for round 2

Had to return it to the library since I got a bit busy, but from what I’ve read so far…. I’ve never felt more called out on my own unhealthy academic habits. Can’t wait to pick this back up again when I’m able!

The second book in James Islington’s Hierarchy series comes out in a week and I know I need to re read The Will of the Many before I can even think of starting book 2, so I guess I’m not getting any sleep for the next 7 days

Only listening to this in the morning after taking my adderall just feels right. So far, the research around technology, attention, and UX is fascinating, albeit, not surprising.

Feeling the urge to play World of Warcraft for the first time in my life

Did some reflecting and decided some of my old reviews needed updating because I was far too soft giving mediocre books 4 stars when they really deserved 2

Halfway through and still struggling to pin down the vibe aside from Lilliath being a baddie. Also, plenty of pages have been spent describing the appearance and attire of almost every character, which is fine I guess

I’ve laughed. I’ve cried. I’ve been reminded how fun science can be.

Certainly not what I expected this book to be, but I’m not mad about it! Especially now that i know what is in the lost package our main character is so desperate to find.

Had this on hold with the library since its release in March and it is finally my turn. I’ve got high hopes so please don’t let me down, Suzy.

Proud to announce I now own THREE library cards and am slowly on my way to gaining ultimate access to book selections within the state of Arizona.

Had to return this bad boy to the library today. 🥲. Reading this so far has only reiterated to me that I am just as annoying as Langdon with my constant historical fact dropping. I love him.

Reshelving for now... Certainly not Perks of Being a Wallflower and a bit too spooky to start my day with so I’ll have to wait until I have the capacity to dive into this childhood nightmare.

I’ve cried so many times already and not even done. I love stories of women and friendship.
