It’s too spooky for me to read at night so alas I gotta have two books running concurrently now

I already know this is going to break my heart

This is so good. I expected to be a little disappointed but so far it’s good and funny action, great Saeris/Fisher interactions… dream connection baby! And loving that they still get their separate adventures - fun team ups with Lorreth/Saeris/Foley and Carrion/Fisher

Ok yes to add to this - she’s described in synopsis as unhinged, which I usually like, but usually they’re funnier or wittier in their stream of consciousness or interactions. Or overly self aware to the point of shrill, but so far Edith is really not either. And even though I hate Pete at this point, I know I could be easily swayed by hearing two lines from his POV that proves Edith’s unreliable narration

I think this is making me uncomfortable because she’s so unsympathetic without any clarity on who she is (her insecurity makes her both mean and fake nice, terrible combo) and so her being a victim and hero of her own story is super annoying. I dont care for her and am stalling on reading on!! But I can’t DNF it!! I am super into Mo as a character tho

I literally have no idea what is going to happen. I can see a world where Killian is a goodie but dies or turns, but if he’s been a secret baddie this whole time then that’s CRAZY. Like… he’s always known and targeted her as a commoner?? That would be sociopathic but maybe?!? And CMON Anassa you beech just TELL HER WHATEVER IT IS YOU KNOW

Wtf “Leave, Raihn”?!?!?!? I’ve never disliked Mische more than in this chapter and honestly she was already not that likeable

Um I thought I signed up for a Romantasy, not a pure fantasy!!! Also this world building is too descriptive and at the same time so vague and dark that I can’t picture anything properly

I am fully invested in this world, but just like Glass House, the perspective leans too descriptive for my liking. Yes, I want to know what happened but more importantly I need to know how you were feeling when thing happened!!
