I’m enjoying this book but I wish we had more background on why Kiva feels this prison is so dangerous and the guards are so dangerous and why “here at Zalindov, the only person you can trust is yourself” - like what do you mean????? Basically right off the bat, Kiva has 3 people she can very much trust lollll. Maybe something crazy will happen? IDK. I’m not feeling the danger Kiva swears is all around her
