Man really did told us all the things his body experienced.

"... these girls probably don't know as much as I do about pain And, quite naturally, there might not be a need for them to know it."

Summed-up (without the intention to be misoginy) the confidence yet humble statement that oftenly shown from his writings. Favs.

More deeper to the books. It feels more like doctor's diary combine with study case paper, which is great. Delivering both the technicalities, further, the hands-on efforts of explore and define the issues, then finding the solutions with the format of storytelling, almost fiction-like.

I also just know that: traume not only due to being a victim, but also a perpetrator, and it hurt much more deep. Dude ...

Been a talk everywhere by the greatness of this book. Finally had a chance to read it, and it turns out to be the right choice (so far), as the introduction and several initial pages of chapter 1 caught me in.

His writings seem to be on my liking side, where it is more story-driven and using Alarm as one terms to explain things. Which is surprisingly relevant to me due to my minor thesis.

Let see

This chapter is so beautiful. Explicitly connecting books with someone's life (even if it is still Takako's assumption), and how one event is guiding another one naturally. Beautiful.

This is the thing with Japanese writings, the conflict felt mundane, but the depths were enough to hold your breath. It was too real.

Chapter 9 turns out not to be "The Golden Dream" as it will be the theme of the chapter, but yet mentions in the clever way (as usual).

The dynamics grow as the new conflict emerges. Surprisingly from the character that (even really close to Takako) is not much mentioned before, suddenly the story swirls around her and the mystery builds it up bit a bit.

In Praise of Shadows by Junicihto Tenazaki which introduces the last chapter is becoming the anchor for this chapter, but in reverse, while the shadows deepened, a bit of warm light came by.

First conflict.
It must be tiring to be Takako, hard-boiled on the side, and scrambled eggs on the other side.

The normies, self-centered normies, annoying normies. F!

Now I've found some pattern, each chapter tells another side of the story and in the end it will resolve, externally then internally. With or without Book-involved.

Nope, it always involves books, but either as an introduction, conflict-trigger, or resolution.

As the title highlighted, the story of a bunch of bookworms.
And in this ch. 5, I've found that it burns me inside, not by anger, but the sadness that transferred through the words.

The Chieko Poems is the final jab that makes the whole chapter feel more deeper. Takako internalized Takamura sensei's sorrowful life, beautifully.

Deep dive personally to uncle morisaki. It reflects me quite a lot when he delves himself on each writers' personal life, beyond just their writings, in the purpose (at least from Takako's assumption) to find himself. Which seems counterproductive, but, works magically

A quirky bookshop attracts quirky peeps, which spice the world of the book. Got the playful and engaging end of chapter.

Good opening.
Dynamics between main characters, and past, present emotions involved.

"You’re a good guy. Though sometimes a little too normal, you know?"

I reckon that this kind of character is often used by Murakami when writing the MCs. The character which is kind of out of place, he is there, but feels like in observation mode, a third-person perspective kind of person. Don't know whether it is more like the projection of self-familiarity, or, it is what is really intended by him.

Start to read this man's work again, before touching the newest one.

It's always haunting me, how the MCs are going through his inner conflicts. As in it was the calm sea in the surface, but erupted volcano on the inside (the bread thief one really pictured it perfectly).

"that, in every situation, knowledge was better than ignorance"
"Only through knowing could a person become strong."

No dude .. don't ..
