I don’t know what the fuck is going on! We have spent the first half of this book just fighting there attraction, and now we have naked boys calling MFC Eva and talking of someone named Constantine, who seems really bad by the way. He’s like come with me, she’s like I don’t know you buddy. He’s like well then I must have been wrong and then jumps to his death 😑 oh plus, Koen took a vow of celibacy.

Off to a good start. Odessa sounds lonely 😢 she is literally a red headed stepchild. She’s wistful and curious and because she’s not a favored child these things are seen as troublesome. Anyway I’m only 2 chapters in and we are definitely world building on top of getting to know our MFC

On chapter3 just started this one with my boys. We’ll be listening during car time now that schools going back from Christmas brake

I regret skipping bride. It made the first few chapters confusing. Overall I’m loving these characters, their banter is doing it for me, but I don’t think I’ve made it to any significant part of the story yet, we’re still building here. We be going back to read bride though.

This book really starts at a run but in a good way. I feel like the female narrator makes Lor sound whiny during times of distress. I’m talking legitimate times of confusion and distress where she does not know what’s going on and where I’m expecting I don’t know “strong reactions” she sounds like a petulant child instead. I don’t know it’s off for the story for me, but I’m still enjoying it.
