Details are starting to add up. Some details I was right about from the start, some I was shocked to learn about. I’m pretty sure Brian and Laura cleaned up someone else’s mess when it comes to Emma’s death. I don’t believe Brian actually harmed her.

Nicole’s junkie friend ransacked Laura’s home (Beth doesn’t know that yet). No one checked on their letters or the safety deposit box key after the break in. Are they still there? Beth kisses Lucas and at this point she’s going to end up telling him about Emma sooner than later. Dad’s email feels like bait.

Just like “The Perfect Marriage” this book is written from the points of view of the main characters. I like this type of writing. It helps me stay connected to the characters. I like the book so far.

I’m either distracted or this is confusing to read. The main character, Helen, keeps jumping from thought to thought with no real connection between the thoughts. I keep finding myself going back and trying to piece the thoughts together.
