DNF. This book is too easy to read. There is not friction in the plot everything seems to just fall into place. When things go poorly everything happens very fast and there is not depth to it. I also feel like there is not a lot of of character development with any of the characters so I do not have a sense of attachment or understanding for them.

DNF. I really wanted this book to be good. There is just no meat whatsoever and everything is very shallow. The tense in which the book is written is throwing me off as well.

I was hoping after the first book it would become more structured and developed but I was sorely mistaken. I REALLY did not like the main characters. There was little to no development and Cayden just pissed me off with his god complex. Elowen chose when ti be helpless and it gave me the ick. There was an annoying amount of name dropping trying to try things in that had never been introduced properly.

DNF :( I really wanted this series to work for me but I just couldn’t get in to the flow. It was too fast in the meaningful parts and slow and dull in other parts. I felt like I was missing a lot but also got a lot of information that wasn’t useful to the plot. I couldn’t keep up with it :(

DNF. I have never not finished a book before:(The first book, I dragged myself through. I was hoping that it would get better. It had great potential but there was no emotional connection to the characters. I feel like there wasn’t really any internal struggle with the characters/plot/decisions. I felt like I was looking through a window this whole series.

Pretty slow. Not a whole lot of action. Figured out some “plot twists” at the beginning but everything is still being built up.

I am still a LITTLE confused but not it’s all coming together. I don’t know if I like how there are a bunch of different perspectives. It seems like there’s a LOT of moving pieces.

I am almost half way through and still confused about what is happening. It’s a good plot and I am not disappointed but just thoroughly confused as to who the characters are and what the plot is.

Mmm a little confused but still interested. It’s a good start but not a very good build up to the things that happen. I like the characters but confused about pasts and purpose right now.

Honestly it was a good plot idea but I was not impressed with the characters and how they evolved. It felt like I was on the outside looking in. I didn’t fully finish the book :/

There is not a lot of character development. I feel like nothing has happened. I don’t know a whole lot about their society or the people.
