I rarely write updates. I either read a book in a couple of sittings or start and let it languish until I am in the mood for it's content and then restart - months or years - later.

This is not an easy read. It's as engaging and readable as any crime novel but there is an unpleasantness that goes beyond the usual true crime content. An unpleasantness that all comes down to the concept of what it is to be 'pretty'.

This is so good! I am actually upset that I need to go to sleep because I am having issues focusing on the pages.

Lots in here... very much in line with research that’s much newer but really well written and accessible. It’s totally giving me ideas...

Ok.... I got totally suckered in because it had a cool cover and referenced Macbeth. It’s compelling, over the top and oh so snarky. I am loving it!!
