2.5/5. Fr. Lenz explains the horrors of Dachau. Truly terrible events happened there, but also some truly wonderful victories of Christ, and some good reflections on suffering. It would receive a much higher rating if not for the quite poorly done organization—stories get repeated and are out of chronological order, without a theme or to justify telling the stories out of order.

A wonderful book, it helps to have a guidebook to understand some of the more obscure context. I used a short 100ish pager that helped immensely. I was brought to the emotional brink in chapter 8. Chapter 13 is still beyond me, but nearly everyone can relate to Augustine in some way. St. Augustine, pray for us.
