Its so brave of me to pick this back up as my before-bed-book, with the hopes of finishing it

Wtf am i supposed to do when i need a book physically in my hands to stay engaged (ya fantasy excluded) and my library hasn’t the book in stock? Purchase it full price????!!

You sense my loneliness, my bitterness at being shut out of life. My bitterness that I’m evil, that I don’t deserve to be loved and yet I need love hungrily.

Thank you, but I would rather suffer, rather dry up like a husk with teeth.

And human as Orpheus perhaps, I stopped and glanced back.

If citizenship is a matter of shared beliefs, then I believe in the democracy of species. If citizenship means an oath of loyalty to a leader, then I choose the leader of the trees. If good citizens agree to uphold the laws of the nation, then I choose natural law, the law of reciprocity, of regeneration, of mutual flourishing.
