So incredibly harrowing. Starting to get the feeling that EN3222 is not going to make for the most cheery of semesters.

Work shifts are leaving me SO little time to read rn and every character in section 2 is relatable but very dislikeable so it’s just kind of a depressing take on the world

I had got into the swing of this but dear god the descriptions of women are whack (I know you’re gay but boobs shouldn’t look like clusters of ripe grapes inside a sack fyi Mr Proust). They’re either his mother, not good because they aren’t his mother, domestically evil, mad, or an imagined perfect woman who has zero personality. Maybe it’s just meant to be puberty or something idk. Otherwise, good read!

Like Virginia Woolf on self-indulgent steroids but I think I can get behind that
