Ok, I’m more curious to see how Paolini’s writing has matured since the last Eragon books than anything else. Not really expecting to love this one, at least. But I have to admit, he does have a way with metaphors:
“Thick flakes of snow drifted downward: the first snow of the year. He opened his mouth and caught a flake on his tongue; it melted like a pleasant memory, fleeting and insubstantial.”
Dang.
