After seeing the series, the book definitely gives you more time to sit with the characters, have cozier moments, and learn more. I’m stating the obvious, but that’s coming from thinking the show already did a great job of that!

I love all the mentioning of St. Louis, Louis the Sun King - all before Louis de Pointe du Lac.

I can’t express how much I love that the red cloak made it into season 2 of the series. The little details they infused before even getting into Lestat’s story in the upcoming season - you just know the show is in good hands.

1781 Lestat is very similar to 2019 Alexis.

I feel so sorrowful for his mortal life and how he was made to believe his existence was meaningless. It perfectly sets up why he acts with such fervor and intensity in his immortality. He intends to live.
