I’m an hour into this audiobook, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I don’t give a single fuck about Keith AKA the ex-fuck buddy I’ve already heard about too many times. Keith’s limited backstory is already annoying; telling me he showed up at the MC’s house with snot running down his face and a dream doesn’t make me feel sorry for him. I’m feeling petty and want to DNF for all the mentions.

I really like everything so far, but we’re at Uncle Zach’s house now and been given so many (ridiculous? Idk, I’m not rich, and I wouldn’t want whatever is going on with this house even if I was 😭) descriptions of his home in the last page or two that I had to take a small break because I just don’t care about a rich guy’s fancy house. 😭

We started off being told how emotionally and physically unavailable the dad is (he’s “too busy for a family”?), then we swap to the dad’s POV with him lamenting the loss of a relationship that isn’t his ex-wife or his son. I was just given all the Shitty Dad Tea, and this man has the audacity to think he’s not been a bad father??? Idk if I’ll make it through this.
