Wow. This book is tough to read but I’m slowly getting through it. We are in a sense an intolerable compliment was such a profound statement by Lewis.

Chapter 2 was heavy. I’ll definitely have to re read it. Basically, in order to create a world in which free agents can interact with one another, there must be a possibility of suffering. An opportunity for evil to creep in. In the next chapter he will try to answer the objection “then why create at all?”

Four things to note about Christianity
1. Numinous Awe
2. Objective Morality
3. The Absurdity of combining them
4. The Incarnation of Christ

Wow! What an interesting twist! I will admit, the story turned sour for me for just a moment. I now see why. It did mess the pace up just a bit for me. We carry on to Volume II!

Seriously though, it is so surreal what people in Ancient Greece were thinking about. “What does it mean to Be?”

Going slowly. Very informative so far.

Grace will Reign was such a good chapter. Here are some quotes so I remember them:

Virtutis custos infirmitas-> Weakness is the keeper of Virtue

Almost done, I should be on the level of an undergrad philosophy student at this point
