It’s gotten a little better toward the end… I’m in it now, I’ll def finish it, but, I’m not sure how I feel about it.

I’m actually really enjoying it- I think I like it better than Butcher and Blackbird. This one doesn’t have as much of the playful humor, but it’s there. It feels more intensely passionate and the heat was hot hot hot 🥵
Probably says a lot about me 😂
Also, a bit more drama, edge of the seat action.

I like it, but I don’t *love* it, but I also can’t stop reading it (listening to it) and am curious where it’s going to go. Main character is another naive gifted female who you can’t help but be annoyed by. Though, perhaps some of that is because of the two gods who have claimed her. Enjoying it for sure.

Good. Great world building which is a little slow for me right now. And a lot of repetitive writing style- “I went this way, and then found they weren’t here so I had to go back another way.” “That IS the question, but first we need to answer this!” “I was content, and yet, there was sorrow.” This and that, this yet that, this then that. It’s distracting.

A little too childish for me right now, even knowing it’s is a children’s story

Took a pause, I was starting to lose interest, should revisit.

Paused, other books came up that I wanted to listen to more!

Did not finish. Just. Could not get into it and I tried. Her naivety and those weird ass ribbons, just did not enjoy.

Ugh. This book is terrible. The FMC is annoying and naive. The writing is juvenile. If I had a better audiobook available right now I’d have moved on. Highly doubt I will read more in this series.

The main character has “ribbons” and every time she mentions them it makes me cringe.

Did not finish this, might return to it.

LOVE the narrator and the cadence of the writing.

Listened to the first half on audiobook (not sure I enjoyed the “graphic audio” with sound effects) which got me started, winding down the last half. Just, kind of a lot going on- which- these books were always like that… but I sort of feel like maybe there’s too much and all the stories feel like they’re trying too hard because of it? Pulled too many directions? Still entertaining.

I’m really tickled by this book so far. Listening to it on audiobook because it was available and I wanted something lighthearted.

Everyone really loved this book and has raved about it, but I don’t feel sucked in by the story and I’m halfway through. Started reading it when I was in Tonga and didn’t pick it back up. Will try to eventually- maybe it gets better.

Impressively witty and funny, well written (or at least well performed?) with relatable characters who have normal life thoughts (and some excessively raunchy, dirty, dark thoughts). Getting a sense of a plot, which says a lot for this genre of books (or at least the ones I’ve read so far) while literally edging you most pages. Pretty into it so far.

My first smutty book on audiotape. We’ll see how this goes…

More faerie smut! And an obnoxious hardheaded FMC who can’t keep her temper under control long enough to think rationally 90% of the time. But. Was I really expecting more than that from a dark fantasy? Still enjoying it- it’s an easy read with enough comedic relief from Eli to keep me engaged and enough smut to keep me interested.

Good. Sort of slow, meanderings of a person’s life over time. I’m curious where the story is heading, how it will end.

It’s an interesting perspective on human desire and longing. What’s enough? What makes someone feel seen, loved, fulfilled, content?

So good. Getting close to the end but Spotify cut me off because I’d reached my allotted time limits for the month 🙄

So good. I love the Norse and west African mythology and how the author has intertwined the two, building a richly colorful world.
