I've finished the titular tale. Really quick and enjoyable. RLS has a unique descriptive style that is really engaging. Going to read the rest of the short stories in my copy.

I've finished the second in the trilogy, Foundation and Empire.

Major spoilers

The moment of chaos when Seldon's plan fails at a time of crisis was incredible. The first part builds up the readers belief in the plan before tearing it down and piecing it together again in the second part. The reveal of the Mule you can definitely see coming but is shocking nonetheless.

I've finished the first book of the trilogy. The structure is super cool and makes it read like a history. The quotes from the encyclopedia galactica starting each part and chapter foretelling the events to come. The focus on major watershed moments in the Foundation's history. How each part illustrates a particular challenge and the particular tool of statecraft used to overcome it. Excited to continue the series.
