The Dragon lecturing Grendel on the meaninglessness of life and the illusion of human-driven fact is goddamn hilarious. Grendel shuffles his feet and sulks and contradicts like a bored child in a classroom. It's interesting that the Dragon tells Grendel that the meaning of his existence is to be Man's foil by which they define themselves.
