I liked the chapter about the membrum virile in antiquity!

Real chatterbox over here

I’m built for this doctoral student book-a-day life (this mf German has infinite footnotes, we got pages with two sentences of body text)

In all seriousness, this is a handy volume. Very middle of the fairway, much like Alicia Myers’ book that I read last week

Finally, a German Lutheran! (This is VERY serious business😂)

Reviewing for coursework

Teaching time but gonna finish this later, really good stuff

Wow! What a bore!

In the words of Shaquille O’Neal, aka Superman, aka The Big Aristotle, “I sleep”

Onward

I was told to read “as much as possible” but consider this my public declaration that I’ll lock in and finish it because I have the indomitable human spirit. Or, one may say, I am empowered to keep the law by the Spirit working in me😂

Let’s say you’re finishing a book on literary criticism and gospel historicity. You type each of the following sentences:

“The real issue is whether ‘his story’ can be true if it is not ‘history.’”

“When art and history, fiction and truth, are again reconciled we will again be able to read the gospel as the author’s original audience read it.”

Bro cut that first sentence😂

Hugo I’m tired boss

Had no idea how critical the Tuskegee airmen were at Sicily (I am 80 years old)
