Had to turn back to library...didn't finish, yet...

This one went back to the library, too... will get it again, though!

Had to turn it back to the library...need to buy my own!

Omg omg I can't wait to read this book, yet I am waiting ... I know it will be over too soon, so I don't wanna start! I'm saving it for my Christmas week.

This story is taking a long time to get going, and I think Mr. Ford is rather self-indulgent in his long meandering and repititous descriptions, but I also have the feeling that there us a reason for this carefully worded, lengthy beginning. So I will carry on!

Loved the rest of the book, too!

So far I love the look into her life of idyllic childhood and how that all changed with her parents divorce. Memoirs are my favorite because of this inside view of how it felt to see the empty cupboards and now quiet kitchen. I also love her take on Michigan. Living there myself was somewhat the same, even tho' I cam from the West.

I've been waiting for this book anxiously since I heard Heather read at Get Lit Reading Festival earlier this year! Finally I get to experience the whole story.

Anna is amazingly insightful, she brings out so many little nuances, I feel like I have been given insight.
