The language is just insanely hard…

Interesting how at that time verything was more freely. I mean, they could go and touch anything at the crime scene and also like that moment at the hotel when they ask the register book and could see people who settled in the hotel - their names, etc. I can’t imagine now you go to the hotel and ask them for names of their guest

Phrase – …she was nothing but a child who had never lived

Phrase – the life of all the people around her had tumbled down like a house of cards

I mean their secrets

At this point, the story feels like “perfect strangers “ in a good way

Phrase – “now don’t go making me out to be some kind of villain. Anyone can see that I am the real victim here.”

Phrase – what threw him was the way that his brother-in-law seemed to consider it perfectly natural to discard his wife as though she were broken watch or household appliance.
