time to read the other book i got for christmas. high hopes!

IM FINALLLLLLLLY reading a book this year. i’ve started about 6 different books between november and january and finished zero. may have had a touch of reader fatigue ✅

translated but super fascinating

absolute scenes

trying to inspire myself to write about boats (more work books)

eating houmous and rolls on the train post-chapter “bitches be crazy”

really enjoy the glimpses into global gender nonconformity. really dense but still an accessible read for anyone (like me ☹️) who isn’t super familiar with trans history

finalllly getting around to this!!

clear and well written, there is a lot of pain on these pages

i’ve had to do the really cheeky thing of returning but when the wifi is off because i can’t finish this damn book!!! but now i cant ready anything else!!

somehow makes cruising sound like the most poetic yet nastiest act in the world. it takes a really talented writer to make the smell of ass beautiful

I forgot how absolutely diabolical and heart wrenching this book is. Definitely not a weak middle. I could feel my heart in my throat for most of part 2 of the book
