I just have to say, I’ve lost track of how many times I have read the word ‘profound’ to describe the depth of a feeling instead of just using deep vocabulary

Okay this has all escalated very quickly, and dare I say a bit too quickly even for my tastes. Really unclear on the storyline, there’s little to none backstory with the FMC which honestly I’ve just found to be confusing and overall I’m not very gripped by it. Might finish this chapter and see but think this could be a DNF for meeeee 😗✌️

Idk how many times I’ve read that same or similar sentence throughout this book already but it’s starting to grate on me. We get it. Enough already.

One more thing… is it just me, or does anyone else think of Prince Charming from Shrek when Eli calls her “Kitten”? Anybody? No? Just me? 🫪
