Ed Creel is a smarter and less lazy version of a certain orange former President. Almost who needs fiction when you have current events.

Will probably finish in fall 2021. I got distracted.

This is a very good book so far.

I am struggling to get through this mess of a story and I have enjoyed previous Darcy Coates books.

This book does have an abusive husband which gave me pause. So far it is better than expected and Large Marge is a great character.

a lot of characters and slow to get going so far

This one is starting out with a lot of promise.

Imagine a world where an online mega corporation has put most of the brick and mortar stores out of business. It isn't hard if your try.

I am not sure if I will finish this book. While the descriptive prose is Southern Gothic poetry, it seems to be a collection of events rather than a cohesive story. While the character of Roosterfish was somewhat interesting, the main protagonist Edgewater is kind of lacking. There is no one that I am emotionally invested in.

If I had know there was animal abuse in this book I would have passed. It is well reviewed and may end up being a good story but 44% in, it is harsh and stressful.

Kind of interesting and kind of strange so far

I hesitated in adding this book as I am struggling to finish it. I do not recommend it.

Rather sad but wonderfully creepy so far.

Doubt I ever finish this one. It was a little slow.

Finally got to purchase the book. This is one high stress read. The bad dudes are really evil.

I got the first 10 chapters as a free preview on my kindle. This is an amazing read. I only wish I didn't have to wait until June to finish the story.

It is an intriguing read. I hope somebody has a happy ending.

The story is very detailed with back stories in the first half. It really picks up in the 2nd half.

Good Halloween read.

Less than 10% in but this seems to be a good read for spooky October.

What the heck I am going to read the prequel first.
