Truly the book I needed to end the year. I needed the unexpected inspiration!

I am not moving this to dnf yet, because I have picked it back up twice already.

I am invested in the story but not a fan of the poetic style

Stopped after it became an info book and not a memoir. Forest few chapters were great

Accidentally watched the show before I found it was a book and it was amazing so using this as the book to try to get some more fiction in my life.

I have read a LOT of memoirs lately and this is the first one that has made me cry. My stomach has turned and my heart has ached so many times already.

No counseling or therapy for a 14 year old that has been held captive for nine months cause she didn’t feel it was right…?

The wife places blame on everyone for her husbands death except her own. He asked her for what he needed, and she didn’t give it, she put her feelings first and never considered him. Turning off your phone after telling him you were done? Angry with him over something he couldn’t control? I waited in the book for this self reflection but it never came. She did not give the support that she wrote the he asked for

Already hooked. Didn't know anything going into it.

Couldn’t finish, WHY is it so long.
