God where can I find a man like Draven 😭 Men like him are the reason why I will not settle

Ya’ll I had to change my reading goal cause I was in SUCH a slump 😭 but I’m still really proud of myself! I didn’t think I would get back into reading at all. The fact that I picked up a book this year and managed to read multiple in such a short amount of time is a huge accomplishment already! 🥺❤️

I was in a crazy reading slump, but I think I’m finally back! Fingers crossed🤞🏽 I’m determined to get through this series even though I’m not feeling it that much. Let’s see if it gets better as I get further into the book

So I’m starting to enjoy this book, but it annoys me that I start to enjoy it when it’s like 70% done 🙃 it always starts to get good at the end

I find Auren soooo annoying, but I’m starting to like her a little bit more. At least whenever she interacts with Rip I start to like their dynamic more

So the book is finally getting better, but that’s because of all of the interactions with Commander Rip. I hate all of her interactions with Midas and the fact that she constantly defends him and says they love each other. She has MAJOR Stockholm syndrome

The book is finally picking up a little. I’m not a fan of the flashbacks to Auren’s past. I think I would enjoy them more if they were shorter, but they just take away from the story. I feel like I’m getting pulled away each time and have to remember where I left off.

You know, I should know by now to not get attached to the sweet male characters that befriend the main character 🙃

I think it’s crazy how slow moving this book feels. I’m 64% through this book and the love interest is STILL yet to appear 😭

So I’ve now been introduced to Sail and tell me why he reminds me so much of Liam from Fourth Wing 🥺 I’m loving Sail. He’s so sweet and shy. I honestly hope him and Auren’s friendship flourishes and develops deeper during this series

So um please tell me King Midas isn’t the main love interest… and also wtf is up with Auren and her ribbons?? I’m just imagining her to looking like some kind of insect idkkk 😭😭😭

When is this book gonna pick up? I need MORE or something good to get me hooked in

Btw when is Gild actually gonna get good?? It’s such a slow start. I’m already on chapter 5 and I need it to pick up or something 😫

Also just started reading Gild, the first book in the Plated Prisoners series and wtf was that opening 😳 I literally did a double take like huh?? I was NOT expecting a major group party like that 😭

So I just finished Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I’ve made the decision to not read Onyx Storm because I don’t think my heart can handle being left on a cliffhanger 😫 and then having to wait until 2027 for the next book?! Yea no way in hell can I handle that 😭

He’d probably think twice about plotting your murder if you threw a few daggers at his head. I unsheathe both daggers from my ribs and flick them in his direction in one smooth movement. They land right where I intended—one nearly nicking his ear and the other an inch beneath his balls. Fear widens his eyes.

I’m squealing omgggg I love that she listened to his advice ahhh

“What?” I gawk after him. “You’re my wingleader!”

Okay but this just made me giggle hehe

Honestly I’m enjoying all of the details in this book. Usually I don’t pay attention to the world building and it’s because I have a hard time imagining everything, but wow I can see everything

Why do I always start series that are not finished?! 😫😭
