Words cannot explain how beautiful this book is and how underrated it is. How I myself have underestimated it the first time I read it.

This book is so gut wrenching, my sweet sweet Aelin. The warrior that you are 😭😭😭. Sobbed a total of 3 hours.

I never thought I’d say this… my first DNF 💔.
I’m so disappointed with the writing, it’s weak and silly. It’s unoriginal and just.. bad. I couldn’t take it seriously, if I had to read another song title or “she’s mine! (Specifically with an exclamation point like a young child cosplaying with a sword) I was gonna lose IT.

Status: DNF until further notice.

Idk why I do this to myself. I’m sobbing and shaking and I already knew this was gonna happen and THEN “two months later”. I CANT H.D. Carlton you CRUEL genius of a writer way to fucking rip my heart out.

Slowly rereading book 2 until I can decide what else I want to read. Wish me luck, I’m a masochist for rereading this one. Idk why I like traumatizing myself, but here we are lmao.
