I did not read the blurb on the back and was shocked to find out that this is actually less biography and more self-help/inspiration based? I’m going to keep listening bc I love my girl, but I’m confused

The very quick realization that this book was written pre-2008 was jarring. There is a sense of underlying hope in the outset that simply doesn’t exist in the culture after.
