I have upon this!

I’m abandoning this. I’ve almost lost 5he will to live !!

Abandoned page 30.

First chapter….I am finding the writing style very tedious…maybe the translation ? I will persevere.

I’m only 3%in and I’ve lost the will to carry on !

This is my second reading.

I’ve given up. I’ve never seen such long paragraphs ! Not a particularly inspiring story either but I did pick the book up as a freebie.

I’ve only just started and my mouth is watering ! Wonderful !!

I’m only on page one and am already enjoying this book. Robert Macfarlane writes so beautifully.

I can’t get on with the style and the fact that John is just “J” which liooks li,s an “I”. I’m abandoning it for the moment.

Now that I’m further into the book, I’m really enjoying it.

I’m at 18% and can’t quite get a handle on this book. I loved The Orchid Thief so I can’t understand why I’m not enjoying this one.

How can I give this story a star rating ?? It’s a harrowing tale but very well written. One cannot “enjoy” such a story, but I would recommend it.
