You know what? Good for them.
I don’t like the cousin kissing going on in this book but I do appreciate the character development between Hareton and Catherine. Both grew up in the wake of circumstances out of their control, and those circumstances twisted them as they came of age. To see them healing and growing past that pain is incredibly rewarding.

So are Heathcliff and Hindley and definitely Cathy. Shoutout to Emily Bronte for writing a horrible woman who is simultaneously so lovable.
Big fan of the story’s framing. Learning everything secondhand (so far) is the perfect way for us to engage with the story from a distance.
Joseph sucks but I guess he’s fine. I dunno.
