This one dragged and lacked the action I was used to from this series. I was also very disappointed that there was a new narrator. Why why why. Ugh. I’m not giving up on this author though because I know he can do better than this

Perhaps I shouldn’t buy and entire series before I read book one.

I love fantasy. My brain hates it. Too many characters and places, no matter how much I try, I just cannot keep it straight. It’s a real struggle and it’s frustrating.

I found the book to be a lot of talking and thinking and not a lot of doing. Lots of smut though. I don’t know. I will read the next one but I’m not sure I want to.

It was beautiful. I went into it with zero expectations and honestly only chose it because I needed a Z book for my alphabet book challenge. I found it when browsing. What a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a lot of action or mystery, this is not for you. It was straight fiction but something about the story and the way it was told touched me. I know how to sew and I think that made me love it even more

For the 6th time

Reading for the first time ever. I am glad I saw the first movie (years ago) so it’s not a familiar story but it really helps me keep the massive amount of characters straight. I can put a movie characters face with a name in the book and it is helping me to enjoy this.

I listened to 10 hours. But it was over many days. I’m super frustrated because there are so many names and the accent is thick. I will try again to read this when I can focus more.

Reading for the 1st time

I’m stopping reading this for now. I love it and it’s such a great book but it is too much mention of blood and necks for me right now. I guess I haven’t read it since my surgery and it’s too much for my medical PTSD right now. I will definitely read it again later because this is one of my favorite series.
