I don't read blurbs so I didn't realize the eugenics & experimentation that happen in the first half intentionally mirror Nazi practices (as I presume we are about to encounter in the second half). We think we have the moral high ground but human nature is human nature no matter how high we believe ourselves to have risen above it.

It's eugenics and experimentation. Not so different from what the Nazis did when experimenting on the Jews. Awful. I hate all the people who got Rosie into this awful place.

This is excruciatingly awful. So awful. I'm so angry at everyone except Rosie. Awful.

What is happening to this girl in this book is horrifying- even more so because things like this did indeed happen. Awful.

Not great. Just okay so far. I think the story line is interesting but there are a lot of characters to keep track of and the dialog & descriptions are pretty crass- and trying to be cutesy like referring to the F word as the curse words that begins with the 6th letter of the alphabet and describing a country song that's about boobies. It's not really my thing.
