Man this is slow. So slow. If this turns into just a murder mystery, it really sucks. If it actually turns into a folk horror, it'll be redeemed. The dialogue between characters is so awkward and poorly written, like a Jacqueline Wilson book from the 90's (except for the dude with a human hand in a jar.) The relationship breakdown of an abusive ex that everyone around you really loves is executed just perfectly.
