The hierarchy invaded and conquered his country and unalived his family and friends and forced him into hiding for years, AND YET the rebels are "just as bad" because they unalived a few people as well?!
This is just the old brainwash propaganda in the media about how the good guys are never ever allowed to commit acts of violence because it would make them as bad as the bad guys. I HATE it.

Okay so the whole pretending Gale is her cousin and back paddling Katniss' very real feelings towards Peeta into "meh most of it was bs" just feels like a huge retcon to make her relationship with Gale into way more than it was presented in the first one. She goes from "not sure what I think of the kiss" to "I'll never have a life with Gale?!" in the span of a single chapter. Not a fan.

Now that I'm finally reading the book I legitimately don't know where the whole "Gale vs Peeta" thing comes from.
Peeta is smart as a whip, selfless, funny. Gale meanwhile is... null. A non-entity. A thought that occasionally pops into Katniss' head.
Is it only the Hemsworth guy? It's only the Hemsworth guy, isn't it?
