1) one of the physicians asked my MA supervisor about me while i was doing a draw and my MA said i always have a diff book w me 😕 but she said it nice i love her she’s a sweetie

1) one of the ma’s i work with saw the tortoise on the cover and revealed that she owns a giant tortoise thanks to her son who rescued it off the highway and now it shits human poop-sized logs in private corners of her backyard. its name is raphael like the ninja turtle
2) one of my patients asked what i’m reading and she was so sweetie :,) she said she loved resi too

Suddenly she saw herself as they must be seeing her: lank hair, dirty, flabby from inactivity, wearing an old ward bathrobe over her own miserable pajamas (they had thought that she might stay at St. Agnes', and dressing was a nuisance), the Crazy Look maybe. She could never tell what the mask might look like. And then it struck her: here it was—what Doris Rivera had faced and what Carla might soon face—the World.

For many years words had come out of her mouth for which her mind could not remember giving the order. Sometimes only a feeling would sweep over her. The feeling would be given voice, but the logic behind it, by which the world might have been convinced, remained mute, and so she lost faith in her own desires. It made her defend them all the more blindly.

found a copy for $3 at the thrift i’m over the moon

i’m already bored sorry

not even 25 pages in and a large flying salmon broke a truck windshield which killed off the main girl’s mom and there’s a lady with umbrellas impaled in her eye sockets swinging knives around in an abandoned mall. that’s not even half of it

i got wisdom tooth surgery and it hurts to laugh but this book made me crack up so much that the hurt went (mostly) away

hey dad would you still love me if i was a worm
