This is hard to read. I am finding the author's stance confusing, uninteresting and dismissive. The positive stories directly contradict the disturbing stories, and he seems to repeat the same surface level information to provide extra padding between chapters. I hope this goes somewhere in the end, but currently I regret picking this up on impulse. There is so much that could be said here- but where is this going?

i'm not really feeling this :/

There wasn't any of my 'to read' books available at the library, so I had to find something out of my usual reading genre. I'm kind of glad I did, this is a refreshing read, and hard to put down. So far, this reads like catching up with an old friend over coffee (or spicy margaritas). Very stream of consciousness, but I'm really enjoying the flow so far.

I think I’m going to have to read this book during the day; there’s something unsettling about it already.

I am enjoying the pace and structure of this book. It jumps around between characters and different timeframes according to when the main event occurs. So many intriguing possibilities blooming 🤭
