I have just read the first three chapters and have already cried. This is so painfully heart-wrenching, but what is more painful is that many people are living worse than this in real life. Stories like this really make us realize how blessed we are to live far from the sound of bombs, sirens, and loss. Some people wake up worrying about deadlines. Others wake up worrying if they’ll survive the day. This is haunting.
