Should have been a really easy read for me but I just couldn't seem to be able to get through it. Going to try come back to it again later but for now it is a DNF

Just really enjoyed this book so far.
Seeing the turmoil, the growth and love.
It is well written too :)

Okay, I've gained some traction. Still not sold on Lottie though.
Hux is rubbing off on me a little bit

I'm struggling to get through it to be honest. I'm not enjoying the main female character, nor am I enjoying the general flow of the book. It seems just... clunky? I'm only 88 pages in and I'm wondering if I continue on with it honestly

24 pages in and I'm unsure about this Huxley character... just giving bad vibes to begin with

Oh gosh, I'm just so in love with them.
I suspected Oraya but it still surprised me when it was revealed - both reveals so far actually were suspect but surprising. I thought both would be lead ups to create the suspicion and then shut it down but NO.

The chemistry is sparking up again and I'm just in absolute love. Can't put the book down. Seriously tempting to call in sick to read further lol

I like the dual POV. Getting to know Raihn a little more. Sad that Oraya has so much hatred for him though (understandably) because I want them to be together so bad. They just suit each other perfectly and I feel like they could make a beautiful kingdom together

The beginning of this book was good moving and I think I've hit a point where it is just dragging a little bit. There was lots of action and excitement to begin with but now I'm getting a little bored.
The whole book moves INCREDIBLY slow. It feels what I have read has been one week in the book. It moves day by day, there is no time skipping.
A lot of chapters too

Okay. Once I got into it, I haven’t been able to put it down.
The story is beautiful written and the character development is really nice - a little slow but it works.
I know the result that I want to see but honestly unsure if that is what will happen at this stage!
Fingers crossed for a happy outcome!

So far it has been a really cute, feel-good love story. They've had their ups and downs pretty early on and have recovered from it nicely. In saying this, I'm only halfway through which tells me that something big is on the horizon.

Isla isn’t letting the memories all play out before making decisions. I’m annoyed and beyond frustrated

I'm just constantly in a stage of annoyance with Isla. Grim is freaking perfect for you, what are you up to?
Why are you denying the memories?! FREAKING LOOK AT THE FACTS!

Hmm. I'm not a fan of Oro. His intentions are unclear. One minute he shows his feelings for Isla, the next he is detaching. He never acts upon his feelings yet he says he loves her. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with him but also with HER. Grim is clearly meant for her and she is not accepting that because she is believing Oros clear lies.
Oro doesn't like Grim so of course he will blame him for everything.

I have NEVER been more frustrated. This is probably one of the first books where I genuinely thought someone was trustworthy, only for it to be thrown in my face. Sometimes you can predict what is going to happen, this I did not see coming.

Anyway, the two romances are starting to develop further now... this will be interesting

Okay, there hasn't been any significant romance between Isla and any other character yet, but there has been a strong platonic love between her and Celeste.
I can see a couple romances forming but there is nothing definite yet. YET.

Azul and Cleo we know a little about but not a huge back story for them which is understandable as they are minor characters.

It is a little slow but I'm enjoying thoroughly.

Struggled to get into the first couple of chapters. Starting to gain a little traction now though

Already enjoying the tension and the characters.
Rhett definitely is falling for Summer, hard and fast.

Their relationship has grown nicely throughout the book and they’re being very open with one another now.

The trials that they are being put through are gruesome but they work together nicely.

Okay… Oraya is strong. She has strength but she doesn’t know what to do with it.

Raihn and Oraya have started falling for each other too but she doesn’t completely see it for what it is

Okay… so maybe she isn’t as strong as I thought. Maybe her strength is building?

I like Raihn - he knew before he even knew that he liked Oraya. Their bond is forming nicely

So far, so good. Beginning with the prologue, you get an idea of the kind of life that Oraya is going into, then up to Page 20, you get an idea of what kind of character she is going to be. Strong.
