I'm going to wait for the audiobook

Reading this series again. While the storyline is just as good, the characterization has NOT aged well at all. I'm finding the majority of the main characters (The Two Rivers folks) dumb as rocks. There has been much disgusted sighing and eye rolling.

Pax is the shit. I want more!

If the writer had someone with two brain cells on the side of good, it would make for a much better book.Good writing, solid classic fantasy tale, but way too much stupidity on the part of the 'good guys'. I'm guessing they get to win just because they're on the side of good rather than any actions on their part.

This series is pure reading fun. I highly recommend as a palate cleanse if you've been on the heart-jerky, mind-bending heavy stuff.

Do not ask me how happy I am to have this on my Kindle, PLUS I get the audiobook tomorrow. I have to remember to read slow, slow, slow so this one lasts. #HappySigh

Been waiting on the audio book. Yay! It was finally released

I am in the deepest hell a book lover can be. Nothing sounds good, nothing is reading good, I'm bored or tired of everything that I'm trying. Ugh. Calgon, take me away!

Ugh. The narrator is doing the audio equivalent of blackface.

This is really good. I can already tell I'm going to want more when it's over.

I got this from my Kindle Unlimited subscription, but going to purchase as well--hoping Ms Aaron gets a bit more $ that way so she can continue the story!

This is too good. I'm trying to read it slow, but there is zero chance that I can string it out until the next book is published. #Bummer

Voting in the Goodreads Choice Awards is one of the hardest things to do. There are SO MANY GOOD BOOKS!

REALLY enjoying this series. The story begs for an audiobook, but the writing does fine without one.

I realized that I was going so slow on this good story because I can't stand the narration so I switched to the ebook version and things are going much better. I hate to say it, but the narrator was truly awful and I can't recommend the audiobook.

My mother introduced me to Catherine Cookson in the 70's and I was pleased to find that her single book on audible is also my favorite. Even better, the narrator is very, very good

I'm enjoying this very much. Getting seriously heavy Black Beauty vibes. Not necessarily a bad thing.
