Ngl as interesting as the facts are in this book - it is an absolute mess to read. One string of consciousness with typos on every second page - particularly with timestamps or sentences.
I don’t want this to turn into a DNF but there’s too much of the authors searching experience in this to fully immerse myself in a fascinating part of history. 🥺

Not me realising (and forgetting) about the 2nd volume in the book. So I’m not as far as I thought 😅 listening to an audiobook of this to absorb more books when the concentration to read is lower
