pretty crazy vibe shift this chapter. it’s so disturbing that it becomes absurd, and it’s all so deadpan it becomes funny. i’m not sure what murakami’s doing with that as of now but i guess we’ll see. it is kind of fun to read a book like this and theorize how it will all tie together though, i haven’t read anything that lends itself to that in a while.
