Read before many years ago. Giving it another look. Impressed so far...

The main character doesn't know if what is happening to her is real or just a movie in her head. I the reader don't know either.

Two thirds into the book and cannot say I'm impressed. Very disappointed and don't see why this is considered a classic. It is effectively a story of who is going to control the most wanted drug in the universe but takes place it seems on one single planet that has no water and is populated with people and giant worms.

The furthest I have got with this novel before putting it down and reading something else. The book is too long and unventful. Over half of it spent telling the reader about all these different characters Yousarian has met during his time in Italy during the war. I'll pick it up again later, much later...in the meantime I'll read something with a story and a plot.

Reading this is like having a long dream where not all the pieces are there. It seems disjoint but completely vivid. The man's writing style wins for me.

Nice writing, and I'm loving this cynical nameless character...

I'm very not impressed so far. Can't see why this has been applauded.

A lot of people have knocked this one of Kings, but I'd say its one of my favorites by him

This deserves a second read.

I've read part 1, and I have to say this is one of Kings most addictive and hard to put down novels.

This is not an easy book to enjoy. Too many characters, odd style of writing, expressions I do not get (maybe because I am too old), and an unclear plot....will be surprised if I finish this

Quite a good read so far, comparable to John Grisham

It feels kind of surreal reading about Danny Torrence as an adult with a drink problem. But am enjoying King's great writing.

So far, so good. I was thrilled to pick this up in the local library today.

I am enjoying these short stories. There are interesting political and ethical themes to each one.

This is not captivating me. There are trains, and spiders and strange creatures to deal with. Not sure I'm gonna finish this book.

I've read 3 of the short stories in this book. The first was a bit boring, the second was good, and the third was kind of amusing.

As usual the writing is to a high standard.

This is a uniquely written novel about a character with schizophrenia.

This is not a challenging read.

A bit cliche but not too bad.

I like this book, not sure why though. It has a gritty realism to it.

Not sure what to say yet. It's well written, about the build up to the 2003 Iraq war, but no clear plot going on yet.
