Ooh didn’t realize this was another Hawthorne mystery. I’m trying to get the meta aspect of it, but just find it a bit narcissistic? Is it just me?
All in all, I’m adoring the actual mystery part. The characters, the scene, the dialogue etc. It is a quintessential cozy mystery!!

Cute, not what I was expecting! Towels shares a gorgeous historical/cultural representation of Russia. The classical references around the aristocracy are just superb!
But…. it’s a little slow for me, and I wish there was a bit more character relationship building.

Loved the Blue Cross! But not so much the Secret Garden.
Jury is still out!!!

Very interesting stuff! I wish more in depth plot lines were developed, and I’m feeling the sensation of only the surface being scratched……….TBD!
Also this author’s insight into Slavic culture is outstanding!!!
Im 50%ish done with this novel and am unfortunately still bored 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

The heavy use of lore is hard to follow! I’m entertained but not intrigued. TBD on the rest
